A revised version of David Bowie’s Space Oddity, recorded by Commander Chris Hadfield on board the International Space Station.
Character Sketch- The Collector
The Collector
A Self-employed bounty hunter, the Office of Financial Affairs refers to him as a collector. Using a repertoire of tactical methods, he collects children from parents with delinquent financial obligations. The job is easy money but potentially dangerous.
These parents were allusive and determined not to give up their daughter; it took a week of detective work to locate their hideout. Surrounding the cabin, the collector and two armed guards wait for nightfall.
Character Sketch: Ms. Sadie Rose
Ms. Sadie Rose
Dressed in a sequin gown and feathers in her hair, Ms. Sadie Rose owns and operates the Quarter Head Inn. A mile off the main road, the honorable establishment offers a multitude of amenities to include comfortable bedrooms, nutritious meals, a billiard room, library, bar and conversation with beautiful intelligent women. Frequent visitors include the local Police Chief, and VEP Administrator.
In a secret room, behind a large bookcase, Ms. Sadie Rose hides a runaway commodity and her free boyfriend.
Character Sketch: Freeman
Freeman
He says his name is Freeman. A loud boisterous radio entity, he gives voice to the commodities. From the airwaves, he shares his message of equality for all. He demands government reform. Nightly he shares stories of cruelty inflicted upon the young in the name of commerce. Hidden in an abandoned warehouse, he hides from the authorities. An unstoppable thorn, he attacks the government and corporate leaders. The price on his head is high.

The Commodity
The law states a commodity has no rights until the age of 18, clearly defined as property, a tool for financial gain.
The brave and the misguided attempt to run away from their enslavement, from the hell thrust upon them from no fault of their own. Retrievers armed with a 9mm weapon end the rebellion with a single gunshot. A local coroner takes a photo of the dead to document capture and termination. Denied burial, the body is marked as trash and tossed into a landfill.
